The 4th edition of ArtStage Singapore features 130 galleries mainly drawn from the Asian-Pacific region. The emphasis this year seemed to be on painting and sculpture, with less in the way of photography and other mediums; one also sees less purely conceptual art here than at main-stream Western fairs. Amongst the booths, a few select names from the pool of international blue-chip artists (Damien Hirst at White Cube and Gerhard Richter at Michael Schultz, for example) are on display amongst emerging and more established names from the local regions; these include Donna Ong, a young Singaporian artist with Primo Marella Gallery, and, at Sundaram Tagore Gallery, the mature painter Jane Lee.
